Whixley Panto 31 Jan to 2 Feb 2019!! Save the date.
Budding (or even fading) actors wanted.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go on stage? Why not give Whixley panto a try? You don’t need to be the next Meryl Streep or even the next Daniel Craig. You just need to be yourself and have some fun doing it.
This year’s production will be Treasure Island, starring the fearsome (????) pirate Long John Silver and his trusty parrot Marty and a large cast of other rogues, vagabonds a pretty maidens.
Whixley has a reputation for performing great pantos and this promises to be no exception. We are looking for new performers to join the experienced team. No experience is needed.
As always, this will be a glittering production full of jokes, songs and heroism. There are large parts, small parts and, for those who have done it before, several parts for the same actor. Everyone enjoys it – actors and audience alike
If you’re interested in finding out more, our producer/ director would be delighted to hear from you. Absolutely no commitment at this stage. Lynsey Farnworth is on 07748 072795 or lynseyfarnworth@yahoo.co.uk.
You’ll be invited to the first reading of the script on 16 September – still no commitment. Rehearsals start on 7 October and they are only once a week.
And for those who don’t want to act – if you would like to see this great production it runs from Thursday 31 January to Saturday 1 February with 2 performances on Saturday. Please come along and enjoy it.
