Whixley 5k/10k Run Report

Bright sunshine welcomed the runners to the Whixley Village Hall on Sunday morning, 22nd October. The two events were well-supported with 25+ runners doing the 5k and over 100 entered the more serious 10k. Conditions underfoot were a bit tricky on the country sections of the course, but that didn’t seem to phase the runners who mastered the varied course in various times from 37 minutes to about an hour.

Thanks to Jill and Paul Watkins-Wright who organised the event with their normal quiet efficiency, and to all sorts of folks who helped with setup, food, drinks, marshalling and shepherding the slower runners round the course.
