A WhatsApp Group called “Whixley Village Support” has been established. Its purpose is to enable people in the village to quickly summon help should they need it. Anyone can join the group, whether you are a person who may need help or someone willing to offer help to those in need.

If you know someone who you feel should be a member of the group then once you are a member yourself you can invite them to join.
This facility does not replace the normal means of communication, including phone, email, Facebook Group, but is meant to supplement those methods.

We now have a big group so a few suggestions to make it work. If you need help and are avoiding contact then use this group to say what you need. If you can help please respond confirming what you can offer. Make friends and neighbours aware of the group and send an add request so we can add them. Look at the village website and village hall Facebook page for updates. Share information with those who don’t use the internet- a phone call or note through the door.
