The Centenary baton is making its way around 69 WI Federations in celebration. This week it was in North Yorkshire East at the Yorkshire Farming Museum. Margaret McNeill and Sue Bailey represented Whixley WI.

This was a day to remember, many thanks to Marjorie Shepherdson and family.
17 members and 2 visitors went to Alnwick Castle Gardens, the few spots of rain didn’t stop us all enjoying the day.
The wonderful gardens, magnificient water features and the Treehouse were well worth seeing. Our visitors were Phyllis Orton and Angela Watson.
On the way back we called for afternoon tea at Northumberland Federation WI Head Office where they all made us very welcome, especially the President Hilary Robson. We were pleased that Ruth (Shepherdson) could come and join us for tea.
