Dear all,

I just wanted to send a quick update regarding the annual bonfire and fireworks event.  As you would have expected, this year we will not be holding the event in its usual form, due to Covid-safe guidelines we must follow as an Estate and school community.  It is a great shame given that our first event of this style for the local community was held in the 1980’s!  We look forward to hopefully hosting the event again next year.  However, we did think it was important to make you aware that we will be holding a firework display tomorrow (5th Nov) for our resident boarding community only.  There will be no mass gatherings or additional visitors to the Estate, instead, our students will be able to watch the fireworks from various parts of our campus within their boarding bubbles.  We felt it was important to reassure the local community that this was the case and also to alert those with livestock.  We hope that some of you may be able to see some of the display – which will run from 7pm – 7.15pm.

Please could I ask that if you have a residents email / communication platform, that they are updated with this information if possible?

I hope that this time next year we will once again be able to open our doors to you and those living in the Parish to mark this occasion in the way we are used to, until then I wish you and your loved ones all the best.

Take care
