The next Whixley Film club night will be on Monday December 17th at 8:00pm (Note change from normal schedule) in the Village Hall. The theme for this film night is “Foreign Night” when we shall be showing “Fitzcarraldo” an acclaimed foreign language film starring Klaus Kinski, Claudia Cardinale, José Lewgoy and requested by some film club members. The theme for the January showing will be “Period Drama Night” when we shall be showing the 2018 film “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018)” starring Jessica Brown Findlay, Tom Courtenay, and Michiel Huisman.
Members of the film club may find out what we’re showing in the future by visiting the members page on the website (CLICK HERE). If you’re interested in coming along please join the film club (there is a form on the web site HERE), or simply turn up on the night where you can join if you wish or make a donation for the one showing (our licence does not allow us to specify a charge for entry to our film showings).
Don’t forget that on Whixley film club nights there is a full bar in operation as well as other refreshments. We normally have an interval during the film to give you a chance to refresh your drinks, and feel free to bring along cushions, bean bags or whatever additional items you need to sit comfortably.
Normally film nights will be held on the second Friday of each month, but may be varied so keep an eye on the website and email newsletters for up-to-date information.
