Dear All

You will be aware that since the departure of Basic Fast Jet Training from RAF Linton-on-Ouse in October 2019, the only remaining regular flying at the Station has been the Tutor aircraft of the Yorkshire Universities Air Squadron which was due to continue until the airfield closes at the end of 2020 as part of the RAF drawdown at the site.  Due to Covid19 all flying operations at RAF Linton-on-Ouse were temporarily suspended in March 2020.  This email is to inform you that the airfield will recommence flying operations from 22nd June 2020, initially with our Tutor aircraft and also from 3rd July 2020 with up to six Hawk jet aircraft operating from RAF Linton-on-Ouse until 20th July 2020.  Planned flying hours will be 0830-1800 hrs Monday to Friday.  Once the Hawk aircraft have departed after 20th July it is expected that RAF Linton-on-Ouse will return to routine Tutor flying until their final departure in December 2020.

There will be increased noise disturbance to local residents during the period of Hawk aircraft operations from 3rd – 20th July 2020 for which we apologise.

Kind regards

Mike Lumsdon
