Yesterday I delivered the most recent donations from Whixley Village to the Starbeck Food Bank. It included 56kg of food and 9 warm blankets.
The staff were extremely grateful and appreciate every single donation. They have many families currently needing help. Everyone using the Food Bank needs a referral from a Health professional or Social/support services and is genuinely in need of help and support. Many thanks to everyone who has donated.
A special thank you to the members of Whixley WI who brought donations for the Food Bank to our November meeting. A car boot full of food was donated! The donations box continues to be kept on the right hand side in the entrance to our Village Hall.
Thanks. Corinne Craig
