The Village Hall Committee has purchased 200 face masks for sale to Whixley residents from a reliable local distributer of hygiene materials and equipment. This is a trusted source and the Committee is confident of the provenance of the face masks.
We have purchased the face masks to help villagers who may lack confidence or simply just not trust, buying face masks from the internet. The purchase is to help those who might otherwise have difficulty in buying face masks for themselves.
This is a ‘not for profit’ sale of face masks, and it is hoped this action by the Village Hall Committee will help our residents move with greater confidence from lockdown in Whixley to venturing into wider social settings.
The face masks are here in Whixley and are for sale in packs of 5 at £5 per pack (which is our cost price). The face masks have been hygienically packed and will be delivered free to your home by members of the Village Hall Committee.
The face masks are of surgical-style, three-ply non-woven disposable face masks which cover the nose and mouth to minimise cross-infection. Each pack contains 5 masks.
These masks are made from three-ply, spun-bonded polypropylene non-woven fabric with a plastic-coated strip above the nose for optimum fit and have elasticated ear loops.
To purchase a pack of the face masks visit the village website https://whixley.org and click on the Shop menu item (far right). Alternatively go straight to https://whixley.org/shop. Villagers are asked to purchase no more than 2 packs (of 5) at this time. Payment may be made by debit/credit card, or PayPal, when you go to checkout. PayPal will process your card details but a PayPal account is not needed. No card details are taken or stored on the website; it is all done on PayPal secure servers.
