Since Covid struck we have been without the Whixley bells being rung for services at the Church of the Ascension. However, a lot of diligent practice under the supervision of Janine, has been going on and this Sunday, 13th August, the bells will ring for our 9.00am morning service. This will be a regular occurence every 2nd Sunday of the month from now on.

I would like to thank the four local ringers, Janine and Barrie and two others who come for the Friday practice, for bringing this about. You may have heard them, even last week after the torrential downpour we had, and noted how competant they are now.

Thank you from all of us for restoring this church tradition and for bringing our bells to life again.

Enid Fisher, church warden.
