Dear All

We are all facing many challenges and some of us may now need to go into isolation.

Via the Parish Council I was contacted by Harrogate Borough Council and our MP’s office last Friday to let them know what measures we had in place.  As you will all be aware the village has risen to this crisis and I have been overwhelmed by offers of help and was able to inform them of the measures we had taken.

I have now compiled a list of helpers which I have sent on to the Doctors at Green Hammerton and will also let the Boroughbridge surgery have this.

Please use the village website www.whixley.org to see arrangements at the village shop and Tancred Farm Shop.  Sign up to the village email, and WhatsApp groups.

Parish Councillors Helen Sargent and Rebecca Lloyd have set up a Facebook support page for families.

Please take social distancing seriously – we live in the countryside but must take care.

Take care of your neighbours – especially those who live alone, do not have access to the internet, and those who are key workers.

For those not using the internet and needing help or reassurance please call me
on 01423 330746.

Take care and stay safe
