Village Bonfire, 4th November

Well, that’s summer gone. It’s bonfire time again! The annual village bonfire with spectacular fireworks will be behind the village hall on Saturday 4th November. It’s said that this is one of the best displays in the district. Everyone’s welcome and it’s free, if you want it to be. Food will be available from 6:30. The bonfire will be lit at 6.40 with fireworks at 7pm prompt. As always it will be a highly professional display.

We raise most of the money for this from a house-to-house collection. We’ll be visiting every house in the village during the 2 weeks before bonfire night – Please give generously. You can also give on the night.

Food will be available after the fireworks as good as always (and cheap) – hot pot, hot dogs, baked potatoes, parkin, toffee apples and loads of other good things.

Help!! – It takes a considerable amount of hard work by many people to make this happen – collecting, building & clearing the fire, preparing and selling the food. It’s fun and very much appreciated by the community. If you’d like to help in any way, please contact Rick on 331477 or Steve and Dee on 330639.
