Feedback on Police Plan for North Yorkshire

Julia Mulligan would like public feedback on new Police Plan for North Yorkshire

Following a comprehensive consultation with the public across North Yorkshire, Police and Crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan, has unveiled a refreshed draft Police and Crime Plan.

She now wants to know if you agree with the goals and objectives she has set for the Chief Constable.

The four priorities for North Yorkshire Police are:

  1. Protect Vulnerable People
  2. Cut crime and anti-social behaviour
  3. Focus on prevention and early intervention
  4. Improve victim care

Taking a different approach to others in the country, Julia Mulligan wants to concentrate on quality and performance over statistics. In addition to meeting the specific challenges set out in the refreshed plan, the mission is for North Yorkshire Police to be the most responsive police service in the country. Overall Julia also wants to see North Yorkshire become the safest county in England, or at least remaining in the top three.

Commenting on the new Police and Crime Plan, Julia Mulligan said, “This plan has been developed after spending a lot of time finding out what the public want from their police locally.  I hope the priorities reflect what people feel on the ground.  I now need to know what individuals and communities think of the plan, and would encourage anyone interested in crime and anti-social behaviour to read the new plan and let me know what they think.”
